With extensive experience in implementing measures that enable individuals, teams, and organizations to address issues such as antisemitism, racism, sexism, and other forms of exclusion, I offer consulting services that are both evidence-driven and grounded in the principles of viewpoint diversity and constructive disagreement.

What does this mean?

  • Evidence-Based

    Understanding Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) issues through an evidence-based lens involves examining empirical data, scientific studies, and statistical analyses to identify disparities, their causes, and potential solutions.

  • Value-Based

    We need to have clear values that inform strategies, mission goals, and policies. By holding an organization accountable to ethical standards, trust, efficiency, and a cohesive and motivated workforce are fostered. The best DEI measures fall flat if people sense that there are double standards, lack of transparency, and nepotism undermining organizational efforts. And, as equity in opportunity, accessibility, and supportive policies for diverse needs are also value-based, DEI approaches can be seamlessly integrated while allowing for the promotion of other values, such as viewpoint diversity.

  • Viewpoint Diversity

    Including and considering a broad range of perspectives, beliefs, opinions, and intellectual approaches within an organization fosters a diversity of viewpoints. It emphasizes the importance of varied intellectual viewpoints and encourages open dialogue and debate on different ideas and perspectives. Exposure to different perspectives can lead to innovative solutions and creative thinking, provide a more comprehensive understanding of issues, and make organizations and groups more adaptable and resilient when they consider multiple perspectives.

Why does it matter?

Because equality and inclusion are too important for us to pretend we have all the answers.

While many DEI initiatives are designed with the best intentions, some have been found to solely focus on representation and inclusion. With my approach, I aim to maintain this goal while also focusing on outcomes and improving intellectual debate and decision-making.

It is crucial to be able to challenge and examine initiatives critically and to be prepared to explain the assumptions and solutions that suggest positive development.

I am deeply committed to creating political, social, and organizational conditions that allow everyone to live free from discrimination, realize their potential, and contribute to flourishing environments.
